國家圖書館漢學研究中心與政治大學華人文化主體性研究中心為促進國際交流,強化國內外漢學研究機構之互動,特於202232426日,共同舉辦「第二屆SEA International Young Scholars Conference」,主題為「Borders, Territories, Spaces of the Sinophone World」

本次會議將在臺北同時採實體與線上方式舉行,並歡迎外籍學人來臺參加。活動邀請對象包括所有相關領域的博士後研究員、博士生、博士或碩士生與臺灣同道討論不同的研究方法。會議盼能探索新的研究視野,發掘跨文化和跨學科研究的國際方法。

本次SEA 2022的目標是重新思考亞洲研究、漢學、跨文化研究、宗教研究、應用倫理學、比較文學和哲學、思想史、全球歷史、數位人文等領域和子領域的現有範式,等等。會議主題「Borders, Territories, Spaces of the Sinophone World」想要探討的核心問題是如何理解全球現在華語語系(地理、語言、概念)「邊界」的概念,以及不同的華語視角如何質疑這一概念和其他相關概念,特別是關於以下主題:

  2. 華語語系宗教的包容性與分界
  3. 實踐視野中的華語語系研究

Borders, Territories, Spaces of the Sinophone World

 The Research Center for Chinese Cultural Subjectivity in Taiwan (CCS) and National Central Library (Center for Chinese Studies) will be hosting the 2nd Sinophone Studies in Europe and the Americas (SEA) International Young Scholars Conference in March 2022 at National Chengchi University, Taiwan. The conference will take place in National Central Library and National Chengchi University. We invite post-doctoral researcher, Ph. D. candidate, doctoral or master’s degree student in all related fields to discuss different research approaches with their Taiwanese counterparts. We hope to provide an opportunity to discover new research horizons and to develop international approaches to transcultural and interdisciplinary research. The goal of the SEA 2022 conference is to re-think existing paradigms in fields and sub-fields like Asian Studies, Sinology, Transcultural Studies, Religion Studies, Applied Ethics, Comparative Literature and Philosophy, History of Thought, Global History, Digital Humanities, etc. One central question that we want to explore is how to understand the idea of (geographic, linguistic, conceptual) “border” in the global present, and how different Sinophone perspectives interrogate this and other related ideas, in particular with regard to the following topics:

 

Core Topics

We call for contributions in different fields of sinology relating to the following topics:

  1. Categories and Boundaries in Transcultural Perspective
  2. Inclusivity and Demarcation in Sinophone Religions
  3. Sinophone Studies in Practical Horizon

General Info

Research Center for Chinese Cultural Subjectivity in Taiwan will be holding 2022 " Sinophone Studies in Europe and the Americas"(SEA) International Young Scholars Conference , March, 2022. The conference invites both critical scholarship and creative writing in various field of Sinophone studies.

The abstract will be blind reviewed by two scholars in the relevant field.

Abstract and full paper can be written in English or Chinese.
If written in Chinese, you will need to submit a briefing in English.

* Conference Date: 24th-26th March 2022
* Deadline for Abstract: 15th August 2021
* Notification of Abstract: 30th September 2021
* Submission Date of Full Paper: 28th February 2022
* Venue: The conference will take place simultaneously online and face-to-face in Taipei for scholars already in Taiwan.
* The Proceedings will be published around August 2022.

 

 

We especially encourage submissions of Digital Humanities projects concerning these three areas.
