「國家記憶」，是建構國家文化重要的基礎，而檔案，則是國家記憶的化身，蘊含政府的施政經驗，反映國家發展與社會文化變遷。為使與會人員瞭解國家發展委員會檔案管理局如何健全我國檔案管理制度，協助機關組織保存完整紀錄，並以國家宏觀角度，留存完整國家記憶，本次演講將從檔案的價值意義、檔案管理架構、國家檔案之鑑選及保存、機關及國家檔案應用、文書檔案之資訊化與電子化、檔案專業發展與合作交流，及未來挑戰與展望等議題進行交流與分享，期望與大家共同見證屬於臺灣的檔案記憶資產。

    National memory is a key component of a nation's culture. Archives, meanwhile, are the physical manifestation of a nation's memory. They are informed by a government's experience in governing, and reflect national development as well as social changes over time. To enable conference participants to better understand how the National Archives Administration optimizes Taiwan's archival management systems, helps government agencies maintain fully preserved records, and retains a comprehensive national memory from a macroscopic national perspective, this address will include the following: the value and significance of archives; the framework of archival management; appraisal and preservation of archives; government records and archives access; informatization and digitization of documents and records; development of the archival profession, and cooperation and exchange; and future challenges and prospects. Look forward to witnessing together with listeners the archival memory resources that are uniquely Taiwanese in character.
