  This presentation addresses national memory from the perspective of Library and Archives Canada. It outlines the development of Library and Archives Canada, its mandate and programs, the environment in which it functions, and the major challenges it faces in preserving memory in the digital age. In concluding, it looks at how international collaborations strengthen national institutions’ capacity to build and preserve memory.
