Lecture Series on Appraising Ancient Books
As a way to increase professional knowledge of librarians, this lecture series will be conducted by Professor Jin Shen, former director of the Harvard-Yenching Institute’s rare books room and current resident expert at Sun Yat-sen University Library. Course content will be based on Professor Shen’s vast experience and the principle of mutually corroborating proof as it deepens participants’ knowledge of ancient books and appraisal techniques.

l Registration is limited to 40 people in order to accommodate classroom size and ensure high quality courses. Registration forms will be reviewed in the order that they are received. The host maintains all rights to review applications and approve registration. Approved applicants will be notified two weeks before the events via email.
